The 2018 Volkswagen Passat GT was unveiled to the world in early January at the North American International Auto Show, and although it didn’t steal the spotlight (mainly reserved for the brand new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta), it still gathered a significant amount of attention. The attention was certainly well-deserved.

The 2018 Volkswagen Passat GT is essentially a more sporty, aggressive variant of the Passat mid-size sedan. It features a powerful 3.6-litre V6 engine that delivers 280 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This DSG gearbox is lightning-quick and provides drivers with responsive, dynamic shifts that ensure you can exploit the engine’s entire performance bandwidth.

Visually, the 2018 Passat GT is quite a sight. It features R-line bumpers and 19-inch wheels. Four colours are offered – Pure White, Reflex Silver, Platinum Grey, and Deep Black.
